If you want to shop, then arrive earlier and shop faster.
That is not a life and death situation for your lateness.

All flights have a scheduled time of departure and arrival.
Delays cost $$, both in fuel and handling.
Sometimes, airlines get fined by the airport as well.
Are you willing to pay for these as well?
